There is always a first time…the first year…the first birthday.
Neema spent hers on cloud nine.
At midnight, Andy and I whispered happy birthday to her…then when she got up, ten hours later, we got her ready for her day.
The day started at Buzzy Bees, a fun place for kids her age at Yaya Center. She got to paint and play for about two hours.

Next, in her party dress, we drove from family member to family member sharing her birthday cake and thus a piece of her day.
